Mecca Romero

Mecca is a firm believer in Yoga as a daily life practice! She has received her 200 Hour YTT, Restorative Yoga Certification and is a Reiki II practitioner. Mecca’s class gears toward staying present by utilizing the breath as our anchor, turning the focus inward to gain perspective, and returning to self-love. Because of Mecca's dance background, she incorporates flow with long and deep breaths from pose to pose. In her flow class, much like her restorative yoga class, Mecca loves incorporating restorative poses to rejuvenate and replenish the body.

Carmen Wehr

In 2018, a shift in life and career paths prompted Carmen’s adventure into teaching yoga. After 20 years in the beauty industry styling hair, Carmen was burnt out and settling into a life of chronic pain. A longtime student of yoga, Carmen finally found her calling after a weekend workshop with Ana Forrest. Once she began practicing Forrest Yoga, years of neck, shoulder, low back and plantar fasciitis pain began to dissipate from her body.

Carmen hopes to be an inspiration for anyone facing mental and physical limitations and body image issues. Forrest Yoga is inclusive and perfect for Any Body!

Lindsey Griffiths

(she/her) Started her yoga practice as a supplement to her ballet training and was immediately hooked! Her history of movement through dance, and yoga spans over three decades. Through yoga, Lindsey was able to cultivate a deeper connection with her body & breath that helped her find stillness and relief from the ever present stress & anxieties of daily life.

Lindsey's classes are playful, a little sweaty, and focused on building internal heat through thoughtfully paring breath with movement. Lindsey works hard to ensure that her classes are a safe & inclusive space for all!

"The thing about yoga that inspires me the most is the realization that our breath is truly our superpower! Paring our breath with our movement allows us to calm our anxieties, quiet our minds, and truly experience life in the present moment."

KUNDALINI TEACHERS

Farion Pearce, Anna Soberanis, Lida Martin, and Tracey St. Johns.

This dedicated group of teachers take turns leading Kundalini Yoga,
Saturdays at 11:15 –12:45pm

Lida Martin

Lida Martin is passionate about energy and creativity and how yoga enhances our health and well-being. Lida has practiced yoga since the age of 13. She taught yoga for many years in Kauai starting in 2004, starting with Hatha Yoga, then Vinyasa, Restorative and Prenatal Yoga.

After multiple ankle surgeries and two hip replacements, she began a search for a new expression through yoga that was more devotional and adaptive to her physical body. She then discovered and has been practicing Kundalini Yoga for many years and became certified.

Kundalini Yoga is a joy to experience and share, especially the healing sounds of the symphonic gong!! Lida also is a Sound Healer offering private and group meditations and sessions, a Reiki Master, Massage Therapist, Energy Healer, Watercolor Artist, and she teaches Visioning and Vision Board Classes and The Artist's Way. She is a licensed Practitioner at the Centers for Spiritual Living.

Farion Pearce

Farion (Mahan Adi Kaur) has been committed to the path of yoga since 1971, when she met her Raja Yoga teacher, Helene Vreeland, who was a disciple of Mataji Indra Devi, who along with Sivananda and Iyengar were disciples of Krishnamacharya. She studied with her for 34 years, maintaining a personal daily practice ever since. A few years ago, when she started wanting to do yoga in a class setting again, she re-discovered Kundalini Yoga, which she had also been exposed to many years ago; she found this  Yoga of Awareness to be the fulfillment of her lifetime spiritual longing.

It is her experience that the claim that Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a science in which every aspect of its practice is aimed at awakening and expanding our consciousness is truly fulfilled. At 71 years of age, she has never felt as healthy, alive, loving and intuitive as she has since she started her regular practice of Kundalini.

Mark Thayer

After successfully navigating a series of life shifting events, Mark discovered Yoga and finally made it to the mat in the spring of 2015. He began practicing yoga asana, breathwork, meditation along with yogic philosophy and found the work to be inviting, easily accessible yet intimately personal and challenging also curiously familiar; like surfing, like a stepping off into liquid. His newly found practice also gave new breath and perspective to the religious preference he associates with, enhancing those rituals and experiences. He was all in!

Mark began the path of a teacher in 2018 and is now 200hr RYT Yoga Alliance certified in Kundalini and Hatha yoga as well as a 40hr IKYTA certification with yoga for youth.
Mark maintains a personal practice of selfcare and is constantly in the books, on the mat in the studio as well as expanding the teaching off the mat and into his world; curiosity drives his pursuit of Yogic philosophies, asana, breathwork and meditation that align his life to purpose, bolster his teaching skills, keep him authentic and humble and just a pleasant guy to be around.

Jean Elaine Clary

Jean Elaine has been practicing yoga for 10 years and received her 200hr RYT training under Daniel Max at JPCY in Boston.  She views yoga as a beautiful and transformative spiritual practice that cultivates gratitude, intuition, and body positivity.  When not practicing, she loves cooking, gardening, making art, being in nature, and spending time with loved ones.

Yoga has been such a transformative practice in healing the body and mind for Lainie, and she wants to continue sharing this practice with as many people as possible.

Jean Elaine’s intention with every class is to provide a safe space for you to tune into your body and remember what true self-love feels like.  Most classes will incorporate current astrological themes to connect back with nature. You can expect energizing and fluid flows with fun, intuitive movements, themes of divine feminine energy, and coming back home to self.

Paige Harris

As a lifelong dancer, yoga was a fun transition for Paige to make. She began her yogic journey after discovering a passion for Ayurveda at the age of seventeen. Using ayurvedic practices and treating food as medicine, Paige began to heal her body and her mind, it wasn't until she began practicing yoga that she had the time and space to begin to heal her spirit and relationship with greater consciousness.

On her path to becoming a somatic healer Paige studied yoga in Bali where she earned her 200hr RYT teacher training certificate; it was there where she found a love for fiery Hatha classes and flowy Vinyasas. She loves to incorporate fluidity and connection to breath in her practice and allows the asana sequences to unfold like choreography.

Paige makes a point to create space for devotional practices in her classes so please feel welcome to bring a totem or talisman to place at the top of your mat for your class.

Ebeth (Dragonfly) Feldman, Aerial Fitness Instructor

Ebeth Feldman

Ebeth started her aerial journey while attending college at Indiana University by stumbling upon a backyard high flying trapeze. In a series of one thing leads to another, she ran away and joined a circus where she performed high flying trapeze, web rope, aerial silks and hula hoops.  Around that time, aerial arts were starting to become popular, so she transitioned from performing to coaching, and quickly fell in love with the energy and community that comes from sharing knowledge. She began installing, developing and running high flying trapeze and aerial programs in the east coast and midwest for summer camps, resorts and studios. She moved to the west coast to manage the start up of Trapeze New York on the Santa Monica Pier. Shortly after she introduced a high flying trapeze program to the popular west coast summer camp- Pali Adventures, which has now doubled in size due to popularity.  In between these gigs, Ebeth manages fitness departments for large chain gyms and sports centers, and studies extensively concepts of  strength training, biomechanics, fitness training and injury recovery.  Today she continues to practice aerial arts and flying trapeze, and coaches all levels using progressive functional strength techniques.

Loren Pennington, Youth Aerial Dance Instructor

Loren Pennington

Meet miss Loren! She learned about her passion for all things dance at nine years old when she joined her first dance team. Growing up with a single mom who worked hard to provide for all five kids while also pushing all of them to fulfill their dreams propelled her into her passion for  dance even more. It wasn’t until she reached the ripe age of 32, after having a child and raising a family that she found aerial dance. She leaned all the way back into her heart, but this time,  she took on a new way to move…in the air Aerial dance has lifted this woman, mother, lover of dance into a whole new dimension. She found a whole new way to move into her body, in the air, and with that, she found MAGIC. She is in LOVE with teaching kids and adults how to dance in the air.  She started teaching 3 years ago and has choreographed and held performances for her students for their families and friends to attend. Her beginner/intermediate students perform after her 6 week program with a theme, a choreographed dance, costumes, lighting (sometimes props) and music. Her program encourages student’s freedom through development of physical strength, flexibility and body awareness….Incorporating skillsets from gymnastics, acrobatics, and dance, aerial helps to develop student’s confidence and creative expression through movement. Come fly with us.
