Vanessa Weinberg was introducted to yoga as a child via synchronistic events that continued through her life, calling her into the world of natural healing. She has spent fortunate time studying with many masterful teachers including Yogi Bhajan. Vanessa enjoys guiding people through seasonal changes, sharing the healling properties of movement, and finding and sharing the keys to growing stronger and healthier both mentally and physically as we age. She has provided wellness workshops and classes to individuals and corporations since 1998 in the US and abroad. Sat Nishan Kaur, also known as Amy Sunshine Therrien, is a singer/songwriter who writes songs from the soul as a way to heal, grow, and connect to the Divine. Vaikko Allen accompanies Sat Nishan on djembe, harmony vocals, and guitar. They are life partners and have been married since 1993. He is an environmental scientist and works as an advocate for progressive water policy. As a practicing yogi, lover of music, nature and life, his presence reminds us how much power there is in Peace.

We will open our shoulders and hip flexors in an asana sequence which will help practitioners access the strength and suppleness needed to move into inverted poses such as Pincha Mayurasana (Tail of the Peacock) and back extensions such as Urdhva Danurasana (Wheel Pose) with confidence and freedom. Many modifications and alternatives will be offered to accommodate a range of abilities and experience.

Hazel Patterson began teaching public yoga classes fourteen years ago and believes that yoga can be adapted for every person, from the most rigorous physical practice, to the most modified and gentle. She has worked extensively with clients rehabilitating serious injuries and has consistently observed how dramatic relief can be brought about by working through the physical body with even very simple yogic movement, breath-work and compassionate attention. With a practice that has spanned 20 years studying with such yoga luminaries as Lisa Walford, Manuso Manos, Shandor Remete and Annie Carpenter, Hazel currently leads teacher trainings in the YogaWorks method and is also working with Rodney Yee in presenting Urban Zen Integrative Therapy trainings on the west coast.

This restorative series is about flexibility, balance & improved joint movement. Students will learn to integrate breathing and relaxation with exertion and movement. Constant attention is given to self-awareness, self-care & safety.

Besides 20 years of yoga practice, Chris Roberts' background includes modern dance and competitive athletics. He is interested in maximizing the fitness of seniors & people with back or joint injuries. He has 8 years of teaching and coaching experience.

World Oneness chant Night

Inspired by chants and sacred music from all around the world, Jack and Stella bring their unique musical talents together to share an evening of devotional chants and mantras to open the heart, quiet the mind and create an evening of joyful community where everyone is in the band! The duo share chants from many different spiritual traditions to encourage a sense of oneness and unity, and all are welcome.

Stella - lead vocals and drums: Originally trained in theatre and drama therapy, Stella became one of Chloe Goodchild's 'Naked Voice' facilitators in 2000 and trained with the British Association for Sound Therapy in 2005. She has recorded several albums of her own material including her latest release, The Love You Are. She has shared her healing sound practices widely in the UK, across Europe and now in the US. Her mission is to inspire people through the healing power of sound, song and creativity.

Jack - Acoustic Guitar/Hawaiian Slide Guitar/Hammered Dulcimer> Jack Lee has performed and recorded his meditation music with Mary Manin Morrissey, Lynn Andrews, Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson and many other teachers and authors and spiritual leaders. A multi-instrumentalist, he plays piano, guitar, bass and the chromatic hammered dulcimer. He has recorded five CDs of his original music. A veteran performer, Jack has played Carnegie Hall twice as well as hundreds of top venues across the country. He is currently co-musical director at Unity Church of Ventura and works as a composer, & producer in Los Angeles.
